Introducing West Auckland Chiropractor Diane Sherwin
“Who knew I could ever be this healthy? My chiropractor did!”
In my early teens I was a runner striving to be the best. Injury then frustrated that goal for a short time with very limited help from any other health professionals. I then met a chiropractor when training in the USA and his family inspired in me a natural, healthier way to a high performance life. I was ready to understand all this at age 13 and knew then that I wanted to be a chiropractor.
I studied at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and was so excited when I began as the philosophy and lifestyle I learnt about was so closely tied into how I felt about life. I’m still involved at the college in cutting-edge research on the brain and nervous system which is a lot of fun!
My goal is to inspire you and your family to lead a healthier fulfilling lives doing all the things you love doing! Your body has such an amazing ability to perform to astounding levels with this clever nervous system, it just needs no interference.
I love sport and exercise. Our family, consisting of my partner John who is a personal trainer and the dog, all go for regular runs together. I am also involved in the Achilles Track Club NZ which enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics. This year I ran the Auckland ‘round the bays’ and a coastal run across slippery rocks and in sea with a blind runner. What could be better to enhance communication skills than that! And to appreciate how easy we’ve got it...
I get my spine checked at least every two weeks and exercise 6 days a week. The dog and partner as a personal trainer definitely keep me on track. I love performing at my best. The body IS a temple – I realize I must look after it while I’ve got it!
