Flu Vaccination - What You Need To Know

Flu Vaccination is a very topical issue, as it is every year as we fast approach wintertime.  I must have been asked a dozen times over the last two weeks about whether the flu vaccine should be considered.  If you relied on media alone, you would have all rushed out a month ago and had your ‘jab’.  Yet I would implore you to read a little more around the subject before you subject yourself to the ‘prick’!

Last week I attended an AIMA (Australasian Integrative Medicine Association) meeting in Birkenhead to hear Dr. Suzanne Humphries (MD) speak.  She was visiting from the U.S.A and is outspoken about the downfalls and dangers of vaccination. She was a revered nephrologist who is a conventionally educated medical doctor who has taken the walk into, around, and out of the allopathic paradigm. She fully and successfully participated in the conventional system for 19 years, witnessing first-hand how that approach fails patients and creates new disease time and again.  What she witnessed primarily was how acutely ill patients would be admitted into the hospital system with a routine flu vaccination, in her experience what she saw was often a deterioration of their condition post the vaccination, even though she practiced everything in her power to help them, often her patients would in fact get sicker.  This got her thinking, and with not much proof or research to back what she was seeing, she ‘quit’ and started to look into the issue.  It is due to this introspection into vaccinations that she had a complete turnaround, and in fact now believes that one is safer to abstain from vaccination.Take a look at her website here for further information and references.


I did a little research and found that Curtis Allen from the Centre of Disease Control U.S.A said that this year’s flu vaccine is only 62% effective, it is a combination vaccine of Influenza A, B and N1H1. (ref Daily News Sunday 14thApril).

Dr. Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon, author and TV personality says he will not allow his wife and four children to be vaccinated with the flu vaccination.  He asks a panel of four specialists on the pros and cons of the flu vaccination.  In summary they say prevention is the best policy, however, the vaccination may not necessarily be the best way to prevent flu.

A study carried out in 2007 reported the following:
The flu vaccine may also pose an immediate risk to your cardiovascular system. One 2007 study published in the Annals of Medicine concluded that:

“Abnormalities in arterial function and LDL oxidation may persist for at least 2 weeks after a slight inflammatory reaction induced by influenza vaccination.

These could explain in part the earlier reported increase in cardiovascular risk during the first weeks after an acute inflammatory disorder.”

After the largest flu-vaccination campaign in Canadian history, a Canadian-led study (through the Cochrane Collaboration, a highly respected international network of researchers who analyze the scientific evidence, including the methodology, used in clinical trials) concluded that vaccinating nursing home workers had no effect on confirmed influenza cases among the homes’ elderly residents.


Many chiropractors and other health professionals would espouse to the fact that a “living thing” has an inborn intelligence within its body, called innate intelligence. It is the organizing force in each of us. It is how we adapt to the environment in order to survive. All livings beings are born with this knowledge. In a human being, innate intelligence tells a baby how many times its heart should beat per minute; how to digest food and get rid of the waste; how to use white blood cells to fight infections; how to communicate its need for attention. No one has to teach an infant any of this. Every living being has 100% of the innate intelligence it must have to survive. Innate intelligence is always normal, and its function is always normal. So, our bodies always know exactly what they need and how to adapt to the environment to function best. Nature needs no help, just no interference.

Attempting to circumvent the innate intelligence of the body by injecting toxins, in the hopes of invoking a protective response is a major interference to the body and is often more dangerous and deadly than the disease the toxin is purported to prevent.

Learn the facts before participating in mass vaccination with an unproven, newly developed vaccine that neither the manufacturer nor your government can assure is safe or effective.

For most people, the flu shot does not prevent illness, but actually does the opposite–it weakens your immune system and makes you more predisposed to the illness. The people who actually die after contracting the flu do so because they are already sick and have compromised immune systems, and that certainly doesn’t have to include you.

The following tips are surefire ways to improve the function of your immune system and greatly reduce your chances of getting the flu this winter:

  • Get adequate natural sunlight or Vitamin D supplementation.
  • Avoid sugar.
  • Avoid processed foods.
  • Eat natural, non-GMO, whole foods.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Get plenty of sleep.
  • Support yourself during stressful times.
  • Have your spine checked and get adjusted as needed.
